When I read this verse recently I heard “No assembly required.”
I was exhausted and empty with no energy to “manufacture hope”.
So what did my wonderful Heavenly Father provide … this reminder that hope is pre-assembled by Him, not something I have to create or manufacture. He tells me my part is to put my trust in Him, i.e., to open my heart to receive the One who can only be satisfied by being reconciled to you, to me so that we may spend eternity together (John 6:38, John 3:16). The choice is always ours as to whether that door is open or closed.
