Not that it was lost 🙂
I was so surprised by the simplicity and immensity of this revelation as I walked and worshipped recently. I was using that 2-edged sword that I shared about with you in this post. I think what surprised me most is I have been living there for years and didn’t realize it.
Heaven will not look the same for you as it looks for me. The God who knows every hair on every head (Matthew 10:30) does not have a “one size fits all” heaven template. However, it’s location does not change.
Where might that be? Near to His heart. Sounds like a good place to be to me 🙂 .
That is the heavenly place in which you and I are seated and where we get to live every day (Ephesians 2:4-7) with nothing able to separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
Have you ever been so focused on what you are doing that you fail to realize where you are? That’s what I was “doing”. Fighting the good fight during persistent health challenges recently and so focused on the fight I was surprised when my Heavenly Father reminded where I was. What a relief!
Living in two places at once is a reality. It is a done deal. It is a powerful weapon to wield, in the midst of battle. But like any weapon if you don’t pick it up and use it, you can’t benefit from it.
John 6:47
“ I speak to you living truth:
Unite your heart to me and believe—
and you will experience eternal life.”
The Passion Translation
It’s and “if –> then” equation. Unite your heart to Jesus and what you will experience is eternal life …heaven. No mention is made of “qualifiers” of when you die or when you do anything for that matter. Nope. It’s now. Today is the day of salvation because of who Jesus is and what Jesus has done (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Your heart united to His heart is what opens the pathway for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt 6:10)
He wants every moment to be made up of us abiding in Him and Him abiding in us because He loves us so passionately (John 14:23)
That’s been His purpose all along …
Even before he made the world,
God loved us and chose us in Christ
to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family
by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.
This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT
Whatever challenge you are facing, whatever battle you are fighting, look up from what you are “doing” to see where you are and be filled with hope!
Amen!!!
