God’s Satisfaction

Do you ever think about it?  I had not.

When I discovered it recently in His Word, well, I was undone.

How much are you driven to achieve that which brings you satisfaction? How many times a day do your actions reflect achieving your satisfaction? How much are the visceral goals of your life’s work driven by your ultimate satisfaction?  It’s just the way we are wired.

Oh, and by the way, you and I, we are wired in His image.  (Genesis 1:26)

“And I [Jesus] have come out of heaven
not for my own desires,
but for the satisfaction of my Father who sent me.”
John 6:38 – The Passion Translation

The only way the Creator of All, our Heavenly Father, could satisfy His own desires was to send His Son to provide reconciliation (Romans 5:1) between the Creator and the created in order for us to be to able to eternally fellowship with Him.  Isn’t that amazing?  Jesus came to satisfy our Father’s longings, His longings for me, for you and every other life!!  How do I know that?

“For the longing of my Father
is that everyone who embraces the Son and believes in him
will experience eternal life
and I will raise them up in the last day!”
John 6:40 – The Passion Translation

Only spending eternity with you is what will satisfy our Father’s heart.

And, there’s no stopping Him.  No thought of purpose of His can be thwarted (Job 42:2).

Need unconditional hope?  There it is!

Satisfaction Guaranteed

  4. […] choice was YES, worth it.  NOT because of anything I’ve done or not done (i.e. entitlement), but because of how He sees me, you and being able to spend eternity with us.   To focus on our unworthiness makes us incapable at heart level of receiving the incredible […]
