Is there enough?

As I was walking and taking in all the beauty of the autumn sunrise and remembering the autumn sunset of the night before, the colors of the sky and autumn filled my spirit and soul with the beauty and colors of our Heavenly Father’s love.  These thoughts occurred to me:

  • If our Heavenly Father lavishes that much beauty and that much extravagance on something that lasts maybe at the most 30 minutes
  • And, He does that every single day.
  • And, it never stops.  It continues around the world over and over and over.
  • Do you think He has enough to lavish beauty into your life?

Everywhere I looked; every turn I took He was there with the heavens displaying His glory and the skies displaying the works of His hands (Psalm 19:1).  My heart echoed what the Psalmist expressed in Psalm 139:7  “Where can I go to escape your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?”  Not possible!

It is not like what  our Heavenly Father pours into my life or your life detracts from what supply there is for someone else, and vice versa.  There is soooooooo much more … according to His riches in glory (Phil 4:19).

Just go out and look.  Look at the sunrise; look at the sunset and how extravagant it is.  He has MORE than that for you and for every single life in every single nation, tribe and tongue.

How do I know that? God used the heavens and the stars to communicate to Abraham how much He had for him.  I think that is a pretty good guide since we are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise (Galatians 3:29).

That is the God that loves you.  That is why you can hope.
